Summary
  • This position acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting projects and processes for the Talent Agency and ensures that all compliance related legal and regulatory requirements are addressed. This individual has to be results oriented and self-driven; proactively identifying and analyzing potential risk areas for the Talent Agency. This role will own and design audit reviews of Talent operational processes utilizing various testing methods to detect compliance exceptions related to the process. Will develop and deliver compliance training to Talent, Shared Services and other identified areas as a result of an identified compliance risk or on an as needed basis.
  • This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Develops and oversees the administration of comprehensive human resources standards, practices and procedures to ensure equitable treatment of caregivers consistent with organization's mission, vision and HEART behaviors. Conducts and coordinates leadership/caregiver education as appropriate.
  • Responsible for Human Resources issues, systems, programs, policies, procedures, reports and documents related to the on-going preparation to meet Joint Commission, C MS, and DOH standards/regulations. Serves as a representative to and spokesperson for regulatory reviews/issues during the Joint Commission Survey (TJC), Department of Health (DOH) audit and Center for Medicare/Medicaid or Medical Services (CMS), and others as needed.
  • Works with Mosaic leadership to ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Missouri Commission on Human rights regulations. Oversees application of Americans with Disability Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Missouri Worker's Compensation, Missouri Unemployment Compensation, Affordable Care Act and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies need, analyzes results and develops action plan for areas in which deficiencies exist. Works in conjunction with Shared Services and Talent Acquisition Manager to identify and implement process improvements for sustained improvement.
  • Coordinates defined contribution retirement plans by providing communication and education to caregivers regarding retirement benefits. Determines eligibility and meets with caregivers. Works with retirement vendors and consultant ensuring plan compliance.
  • Develops annual compliance calendar and works in conjunction with Benefits Specialist to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Legal or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRN - Society of Human Resource Management Certification preferred.
  • 2 years previous experience in Human Resources required.
