Local Delivery Driver - CDL Class A
Position Overview:
EW Grobbel, a renowned family-owned food company specializing in premium meat and pickle products, is seeking a dedicated Local Delivery Driver with a CDL Class A license. The role involves delivering products within a 60-mile radius of Detroit's Eastern Market and assisting in warehouse operations when not on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
Local Deliveries: Transport products to customers within a 60-mile radius, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Warehouse Assistance: Support loading and unloading operations in the warehouse during non-driving hours.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on road safety and adhere to all MDOT regulations.
Qualifications:
CDL Class A License: Required for operation of company vehicles.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years driving experience with a clean record; no major violations in the past 3 years and no alcohol-related violations in the past 5 years.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment such as electric pallet jacks; forklift experience is a plus.
Drug Testing: Must pass MDOT physical and drug screening.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: Competitive annual compensation ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, inclusive of a $2,000 starting bonus.
Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
