Job Description

PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to weight, measure and check materials, supplies and equipment for the purpose of keeping relevant records.

OBJECTIVES

• Collect or prepare measurement, weight or identification labels and attach them to products
• Compare product labels, tags, or tickets, shipping manifest, purchase orders, and bills of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents, quality specifications or weights
• Count or estimate quantities of materials, parts, or products received or shipped
• Communicate with customers and vendors to exchange information regarding products, materials and services
• Compute product totals and charges for shipments
• Unload or unpack incoming shipments
• Operate scale to obtain weight information about incoming shipments
• Fill orders for products and samples, following order ticket, and forward mail items
• Sort products or materials into predetermined sequences or grouping for display, package, shipping or storage
• Store materials in labeled racks and record their location
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 or more pounds frequently throughout the day
• Clean facilities and equipment

• Organized, Prompt, Diligent, Self Starter
• Basic computer skills and understanding of Google software functionality
• Able to multitask while maintaining priorities
• Light mechanical skills
• Able to communicate effectively, follow direction and exercise good judgment
• OSHA 10 Certification
