A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Graduate Engineering Intern at MKS, you will partner with Engineering and Marketing teams to support a product's development cycle, including design, testing, and project management support. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- As a Graduate Intern, you will work closely with your mentor and other employees within the department to apply your knowledge and grow your skills both technically and professionally.
- You’ll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects that enhance product reliability, optimize processes, and drive innovation in product development.
- Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
- Reduce manufacturing costs through innovative solutions.
- Provide daily engineering support and technical assistance to customers and sales.
- Collaborate on innovative R&D projects that drive product advancements.
- Participate in product validation testing and analysis.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of Travel is required.
Required Skills:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical Engineering or relevant majors
- Computer aided design
- Analytical thinking
- Drafting
- Technical writing
Competencies:
- Advanced Engineering
- Traditional structural/thermal analysis
- Finite element analysis experience is a plus
- Optics experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Pay Range: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
