Private Equity Analyst (Business Insurance) Location Schaumburg, IL : Overview:
The Private Equity Analyst performs tasks essential to supporting the Private Equity Consultants execute on financial and risk analysis, as well as help coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and client service. The Private Equity Analyst will ensure each step of the due diligence process is on schedule and thoroughly completed to aid in a successful closing of deals for our private equity clients. Responsibilities:
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
- Understands the client and/or industry niche(s) served, recognizes the typical business problems faced by private equity clients and/or targets, and how our service platform across all disciplines provides solutions to those issues
- Maintains proactive awareness of the private equity industry and how changes in the insurance marketplace, the economy, and legislation impact clients, their portfolio companies, and any potential acquisitions
- Supports Private Equity Consultants with daily tasks needed throughout the diligence process such as data collection, request lists, status updates, report drafting, and financial and risk analysis, as well as coordination with internal sales and service teams
- Collaborates with Private Equity Consultants for the evaluation, determination, and recommendation of alternative coverage, pricing options, and policy changes based on economic analysis, potential exposure, and industry standards
- Maintains quality service standards and organization to assure timely completion of tasks both internally and externally
- Researches and remains abreast of the dynamic, competitive insurance environment, new and complex insurance projects, and constantly changing legislation that governs business
- Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution
- Manages time effectively to prioritize workload, client service requests, and service parameters on business processes
DATA AND PROCESS INTEGRITY
- Accurately maintains complete and orderly due diligence project files for the targets' documentation including policy information, deal documents, and correspondence
- Achieves desired levels of data completeness and process integrity by consistently meeting activity timelines, quality metrics, and goals
PEER RELATIONSHIPS
- Participates in scheduled meetings with private equity clients, target companies, and the broader Private Equity Services team to discuss deals and project updates
- Communicated effectively with Private Equity Consultants and provide timely and complete information to allow them to complete their deliverables and efficiently manage their processes and workload
- Develop successful and effective working relationships with Producers, Account Executives, Client Service Representatives, service team members, managers, and members of other departments
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: - Experience in insurance and account management for corporate and/or global accounts
- Proven track record for accomplishing specific tasks in a proactive manner
- Proficiency in report writing
- Coachable and team-oriented personality
- High attention to detail
PREFERRED: - BS/BA in business, management, insurance, or related field
- Prior experience in a due diligence role, or demonstrated experience with acquisitive clients and providing M&A consultation in an insurance broking context
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite
