Job Description

Gauthier Vineyard in Barhamsville, VA is looking for multiple part-time tasting room associates to join our tasting room family. Our ideal candidate is passionate about wine and delighting guests. Previous experience in a tasting room or server capacity is a plus but we will train the right candidates. Responsibilities

• The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for providing the front-line guest experience. As a Tasting Room Associate you are responsible for providing the best possible experience to all of our Tasting Room guests and help to promote sales and memorable experiences
• Educating guests about the Gauthier Vineyards story and wine
• Pouring samples of wines, wine flights and lead wine tastings when comfortable with our wines
• Accurate use of the POS systems
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Opening and closing procedures, which includes all items related to Tasting Room operations
• Restocking of wine and merchandise from the stock room into the Tasting Room
• Maintaining the aesthetics of the winery and ensure a clean and safe environment for our guests
• Occasional on-site and off-site events

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 with ability to lift 50lbs
• Passion for wine in your day-to-day life
• Winery experience preferred but not required as we will train if you are customer oriented
• Retail sales experience: preferably with ability to present and
• Available to work weekends and holidays on occasion
• Professional appearance
• Must be a team player and maintain a positive disposition and work with our tasting room management.
• Live with-in realistic driving distance
• Other duties as assigned
